Goji Juice and Breast Cancer
May 7, 2007

Source: Safe Alternative Medicine

There are a lot of stories circulating right now about the wonders of goji juice, and in particular some wonderful claims about its miraculous effects on breast cancer, but how much of this is hype and how much is based on actual fact?

Goji berries, also known as wolfberries come from a plant originating in the Himalayas. Wolfberries are highly prized in China and have been used in traditional Chinese folk medicine for over 5,000 years. Ancient Chinese medical texts celebrated the berry for their wide range of health benefits including strengthening the ‘chi” or life force of the body. They are said to be highly rich in a number of nutrients including 18 kinds of amino acids, and all 8 essential amino acids (leucine, valine, lysine, methionine, phenylalanine, threonine, isoleucine and tryptophan). Goji berries also contain several trace minerals including zinc, iron, copper, calcium, and phosphorus. They are also rich in iron and high in polysaccharides which boost the immune system.

Why not? We spend billions of dollars a year into doctors pockets to promote and sell drugs that line the pharmaceutical company owners pockets but yet the research into natural products is minimal. I will tell you why - because when you create a chemical drug you can patent it and when you can patent it you can make a ?*%$#@! load of money out of it. You cannot patent a herb therfore it is not worth their while making a big fuss about the benefits of a herb because all it will acheive is helping people with their health and not lining Big Pharma’s pockets. At the end of the day we now sadly live in a society where far from walking to pick fresh berries from a field and make a stew with them that will give us optimal health instead we get sick we want a quick fix and symptom cover up nothing more as long as we can all continue with what we were doing (usually money related) and it is not money that is the source of all evil here - it is our intention that causes the problem.
also when do we ever hear about all the pharmaceutical drug related deaths e.g the ones associated with Viox - when do they make the news and have a big fuss made as we expose the doctors and the big pharma in media interviews?? hmmm never - now does anyone besides me find that strange at all???

You don’t think big pharma gets exposed for what they do? They certainly do get exposed in many places. Here’s just one:
